Final Results in the 13th Annual Football Pool!

Thank you to each and every one of you that took part in this year's 13th Annual Pederson NFL Football Pool. As always, I truly enjoyed all of your friendly e-mails, participation on our new blog, and your enthusiasm for the pool!

WEEK 17 RESULTS: The winners of the final week in the NFL Football Pool are Mark "Patriots" Acosta and Brock "Fifth Down" Stephenson . By virtue of Brock having more correct overall picks for the year, he wins the $10 prize. Mark shouldn't feel too bad for missing out on the money though. With Mark receiving credit for the week, he finishes in second place overall in the pool.

Feedback for Next Year

If there is any feedback you can provide for the football pool, I would love to hear it. The web site was an idea that came out of pools past, as was the advent of this year's blog, and I've found both to be a great asset. Any other suggestions would be appreciated! Let me know what you'd like to see to make this pool easier and more fun!

Week 15 & 17 Results...

WEEK 15 RESULTS: Ben "The Kardiac Kid" Choy knocked off Brock "Fifth Down" Stephenson for the Week 15 cash in the second week carryover.

WEEK 17 RESULTS: The winner of the final week in the NFL Football Pool for a second year in a row was Dave "Yauhoo!" Yau. Dave beat out Chad "The Great" Pederson and Sammy "More Rings Than You" Chang with Green Bay's win over Chicago last night. Dave picked up his third win of the year, and finished only one pick shy of finding himself in a tie-breaker position for third place overall in the pool. Way to go Dave!

Final week!

OVERALL NEWS: Chad "The Great" Pederson has clinched 1st place overall in the pool this year. Most overall picks, 2nd and 3rd place are still up for grabs!

Week 16 RESULTS: Cheryl "Hot Momma" Pederson picked up the outright win this week pulling her in to sole possession of 3rd place (knocking out her husband Vic!). Cheryl won the week with a last minute win by the Jets on Monday Night. Had Miami won, Dave "Yauhoo!" Yau would have won the week.

Week 15 RESULTS: The 5-way tie from Week 15 has been depleted somewhat. It's now down to Ben "The Kardiac Kid" Choy and Brock "Fifth Down" Stephenson for the Week 13 cash. Good luck!

Week 15 is a log-jam!

Week 15 RESULTS: It was a log-jam of excitement in this week's pool with a 5-way tie for the win. Congratulations to Chad "The Great" Pederson, Vic "Big Daddy" Pederson, Aaron "The Master" Holmes, Ben "The Kardiac Kid" Choy, and Brock "Fifth Down" Stephenson for all getting 11 out of 16 correct picks this week to carry over.

Sammy "More Rings Than You" Chang also had 11 correct picks, but lost out on the Monday Night tiebreaker. Had Sammy won, he would have moved in to first place. Instead, he now finds himself two weeks back of Chad "The Great" Pederson.

All 5 of these deadlocked players will show down in Week 16 for the $10 prize.

Down to the wire in Week 14!

Here's the scenario...

If Chicago wins on Monday Night: Aaron "The Master" Holmes wins the week.

If St. Louis wins on Monday Night: Woosang "PR Doctor" Lee wins the week. Good luck!

As an aside, I have 5 correct picks so far this week. The worst in the pool for Week 14. I seem to be limping to the finish line instead of sprinting. 1st place is still mine, but it looks like I'm doing whatever I can to give everyone a chance. I guess I'm just a giving person, and after all, it is Christmas...

Fast Eddie takes flight

Week 13 RESULTS: Ed "Fast Eddie" Masters claimed victory this week with 11 out of 16 correct picks. Ed edged out Everett with Philadelphia's win over Carolina on Monday night. Ed has now pulled in to 3rd place overall in the pool!

Week 13 Drama!

Here's the scenario...

If Carolina wins on Monday Night: Everett "Mobile" Holmes wins the week.

If Philadelphia wins on Monday Night: Ed "Fast Eddie" Masters wins the week.

Good luck!

Chad reclaims 1st Place Overall with win in Week 12

Week 12 RESULTS: Chad "The Great" Pederson claimed victory this week with 14 out of 16 correct picks. Chad edged out Woosang with New England's win over Chicago on Sunday afternoon. With this week's win, Chad moves back in to first place over Sammy "More Rings Than You" Chang who now sits in second.

Sammy goes on a run, takes the lead!

Week 11 RESULTS: Sammy "More Rings Than You" Chang picked up an impressive 12 out of 16 wins on route to victory in what many considered to be a tough week. With the win, Sammy moves in to 1st place in the pool.

Week 10 RESULTS: Sammy "More Rings Than You" Chang knocked off Bruce "EBS Express" Strongitharm and Ed "Fast Eddie" Masters in the carry over to claim the $10 prize. Congrats Sammy!

Gaining speed - three at a time

Week 10 RESULTS: Sammy "More Rings Than You" Chang, Bruce "EBS Express" Strongitharm and Ed "Fast Eddie" Masters all tied for the win this week and will receive credit as such. They will showdown for the $10 prize in week 11. Good luck!

Late Night Games...

The NFL has implemented a new flexible schedule for all Sunday games in weeks 10 through 15 and week 17. The "Late Night Game" in those weeks will be moved to Sunday primetime by NBC. The schedule I prepared was based on the way it was laid out at the start of the year, hence the difference in the Late Night Game this week. I'm going to try and reflect these changes in future weeks. Please note, either way it does not change the results of this week's winners.

Yauhoo! Dave jumps in to 2nd Place

Week 9 RESULTS: Dave "Yauhoo!" Yau picked up his second week of the year and has catapulted in to second place overall. Congrats Dave!

The Kardiac Kid rises from the ashes

Ben "The Kardiac Kid" Choy picked up the win in week 8, grabbing his first victory of the year.

Dan "The Man" Baxter also had an impressive showing, moving in to sole possession of "most correct picks overall".

It's getting interesting!

Cheryl's in it again on Monday Night - only Ben can stop her

Here's the scenario...

If Minnesota wins on Monday Night: Cheryl "Hot Momma" Pederson wins the week.

If New England wins on Monday Night: Ben "The Kardiac Kid" Choy wins the week.

Good luck!

Pedersons stand 1-2-3

Week 7 RESULTS: Vic "Big Daddy" Pederson won the week in a Monday Night tiebreaker with Cheryl "Hot Momma" Pederson. For the first time in my football pool's 12 year history, Chad, Vic, and Cheryl Pederson are in the top three spots in the standings.

Week 6 RESULTS: Ed "Fast Eddie" Masters knocked off Aaron "The Master" Holmes to win the $10 carryover prize. Way to go Ed.

And "all Pederson" battle

The winner of Week 7 will be determined in the Monday Night Game.

If the NY Giants win: Vic "Big Daddy" Pederson will win the week.

If the Dallas Cowboys win: Cheryl "Hot Momma" Pederson will win the week.

All three Pedersons are doing very well in the pool this year - the rest of you have to catch up soon!

The field cools off

Week 6 RESULTS: While 14 out of 15 games won Week 5, 9 out of 13 takes the cake in Week 6 courtesy Aaron "The Master" Holmes and Ed "Fast Eddie" Masters. The two will showdown in Week 7 for the $10 prize.

WEEK 5 RESULTS: Chad "The Great" Pederson edged out his dad, Vic "Big Daddy" Pederson, by one pick in Week 6 to win the $10 carryover prize from Week 5.

When you're hot, you're hot

I'm sorry to say that yours truly is now in first place in the football pool, earning credit for three of the first five weeks. Catch me if you can!

WEEK 5 RESULTS: In an all-Pederson week, Chad "The Great" Pederson tied for the win with Vic "Big Daddy" Pederson and will carryover for the cash. Both had 13 out of 14 correct picks, but no winner could be selected this week as both Chad and Vic selected the correct Late Night and Monday Night winners. Honourable mention goes to Dave "Yauhoo!" Yau and Brock "Fifth Down" Stephenson who both also had 13 out of 14 correct picks. Both were eliminated by choosing either a Late Night or Monday Night losing team.

WEEK 4 RESULTS: Chad "The Great" Pederson broke a three-way tie between him, Sammy "More Rings Than You" Chang and Dan "The Man" Baxter to win the cash for the week.

WEEK 3 RESULTS: Dave "Yauhoo!" Yau captured the $10 prize for week 3 winning in a double carryover against Cheryl "Hot Momma" Pederson. Dave had 13 out of 14 correct picks to dominate for the win.
